 Theatrical Outfit (TO) held its annual fundraising gala, 'Our Luckie Stars,' on Saturday, April 27th at its home, The Balzer Theater at Herren's on Luckie Street in the heart of downtown Atlanta. The event honored long-time TO patrons Doug and Florida Ellis and featured silent and live auctions, wonderful food, and exciting entertainment from familiar TO artists. The evening was a celebration of the theatre's mission to provide world-class conversation-starting theatre to inspire a compassionate, joyful, and just community. The gala raised over $123,000, breaking its fundraising goal and surpassing last year's success.

The newly completed George S. and Dolores Dore Eccles Theater in Salt Lake City received a grand opening celebration fit for the stars on Friday, October 21. The beautiful building was the centerpiece of a concert that featured Rita Moreno, Megan Hilty, and Brian Stokes Mitchell, along with a slew of local performers.

Tuacahn's much-anticipated production of Disney's Aladdin provides a feast for the senses, filling the outdoor amphitheatre with heaping helpings of visual and aural splendor.

Tuacahn's production of Disney's "Aladdin" premiered Monday, June 4, starring Dan Domenech as Aladdin, Haley Carlucci as Princess Jasmine, Edward Juvier as Genie, and Michael G. Hawkins as Jafar. The production runs alternately with Marc Shaiman's "Hairspray" at Tuacahn Amphitheatre, an outdoor performance space nestled in a verdant valley, and surrounded by towering red rock cliffs, until October 19. Still feeling the glow of the sheer theatricality and wonder of Chazz Palminteri's A Bronx Tale, it was with a vague, amorphous dread that I took the 150-or-so mile drive from Las Vegas to Tuacahn (www.tuacahn.com) in St. George, UT, to see a production of Annie. And, now, I am basking in 'the glow of the sheer theatricality and wonder' of that production.
