Career Transition For Dancers is presenting its National Outreach Project, which will be hosted by So You Think You Can Dance, in Salt Lake City on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the Capitol Theatre, 50 West 200 South, Salt Lake City, UT 84101 from 12:30-1:30 pm. The free workshop, IT'S ALL PLAN 'A': THE WHOLE ARTIST APPROACH, is for pre-professionals, students, current and former professional dancers, college students, teachers and choreographers.

Career Transition For Dancers' mission is to enable dancers to define their career possibilities and develop the skills necessary to excel in a variety of disciplines.

The workshop will examine the key components of the career change process.

Nigel Lythgoe, co-creator/executive producer of So You Think You Can Dance and Executive Producer of American Idol, stated: "Career Transition For Dancers is the safety net for all dancers planning for or facing the realities of transitioning into a new, rewarding second career when dancing is no longer an option. Their programs and services, especially their career counseling and scholarships for higher education, entrepreneurial endeavors and certification programs, enable dancers to define their career possibilities and develop skills necessary to excel in a variety of disciplines."

Dancers do not have to be a union member or a Career Transition For Dancers' client to attend.

One-on-one career counseling appointments will also be available by advance appointment from 2:00-6:30 pm. Reservations are required by calling 212-764-0172 or email to nationaloutreach@careertransition.org.
