The 2012-2013 season of Broadway Across America – Utah has been announced and includes a variety of crowd-pleasing shows, most of which are currently or recently on Broadway.

The main season includes 5 musicals, rather than the customary 4 musicals of recent years, with the addition of 5 special events.

First up, The Addams Family will be performed November 13-19, 2012. The tour currently stars Tony-nominee Douglas Sills (The Scarlet Pimpernel).

Next arriving will be Dreamgirls, including the new song "Listen" from the Oscar-winning film, the week of February 5-10, 2013.

Just a couple of weeks later, February 26-March 3, 2013, will be Shrek the Musical.

Performed April 16-21, 2013 will be the recent bilingual revival of West Side Story.

The highest billed event of the season will be the first national tour of the Broadway hit Jersey Boys, June 5-23, 2013.

In keeping with the recent practice of adding a less-family friendly musical as a special event (Spring Awakening in 2011 and Rock of Ages in 2012), the touring company of Hair will perform January 19-20, 2013.

Another special event of note is Donny and Marie Christmas in Salt Lake, adapted from the Osmond siblings' 2010 concert on Broadway, December 26-29, 2012.

Other special events include the perennial favorite A Kurt Bestor Christmas (December 13-15, 2012), Cesar Milan Dog Whisperer (January 25, 2013), and Lord of the Dance (April 2, 2013).
